THE BLUES

The Blues...what is it? People relate it to music of the soul, music from the heart...or is it the music of 'the devil'?(as told in Robert Johnson's history)

For me, it is the music of the soul that somes from the heart. You know it from how it is sung and played (through instruments like guitar, piano, sax etc.). The history took us way back to the era in which the blacks worked as slaves. While working in cotton fields they used to sing or chant in a manner of showing their deepest sorrow and depression.

Through the years the chant was developed and improvised through the used of musical instruments such as the guitar and piano. Later, the music was commercialized.

Some of the most influential blues men in the early years are Robert Johnson, BB King, Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters.

Back Where We Belong!(Let's hope we stay there till end of season)

After more than an hour of heart-stopping game against a stubborn Derby, a simple play of a cross and a tap-in did the trick...and a combination of Roo-Ro strikes again. With more than half dozen of chances and misses, the Pompei game seemed to be repeated. This time luck was with us (better stop depending on luck too much).

Thanks to Boro for keeping the Gunners off the 3 points.

Out of the FA Cup!

Being rejected a penalty, shots saved, hitting the post, few miscues, ...what else could go wrong. Yeah, a quick counter-attack, a penalty, a sent-off ...and a goal.

WELL DONE!

It's been a busy week. So here is a recap of some great weeks.

Lyon (a): 1-1 (saved by last minute Tevez's goal)
Newcastle (a): Won 5-1 (double from Ronaldo and Rooney)
Fulham (a): Won 3-0 (Hargreaves' scored his first goal for United)
Lyon (h): Won 1-0 (...and through to next stage)
